Story of Amalia Whilhelmine Edler Siblings

Amalia had two younger brothers, Heinrich and William, three younger sisters, Fredereka and Katherine and Minnie. I have shared about Heinrich, Mary Westerhouse husband and Katherine, Henry Westerhouse wife, earlier. I will share about William and Minnie in this story.

*Story of William Edler*

William was born in America soon after the family immigrated from Prussia. The 1860 federal census shows the family living in Pinckney, Warren, Missouri.  This is the only record showing the family in Warren County, Missouri.

The family moved to Big Spring area of Loutre, Montgomery, Missouri about 1862, based on Minnie’s birth. William is shown in the 1876 Missouri State Census.

William is not listed with the family in the 1880 federal census and may have left home. No other information has been found about William, until his death in Tahlequah, Cherokee, Oklahoma.
